Memory 19 GRP, Gaff Sloop with Road Trailer, 1980

A good ,tidy open cockpit version of Memory 19, GRP displacement hull, Gaff Rig with a centreboard.

Vessel has been refitted 2024-5. An inboard engine has been removed.

Construction

Moulded GRP open boat, long fixed keel with centre plate.
500kgs encapsulated. ballast. Metal drop centre plate, block and tackle controlled from helm position
Black painted hull, red antifouling. re done 2025. Coamings white painted.
Sole boards grey painted in the cockpit. Crew bench seating.
Forward cuddy cabin (washboards), flush fore deck, epoxy sheathed marine ply decks with paint finish. Rudder hung from transom. Tiller steering.

Open cockpit with bench seating .
Forward a small cuddy cabin, under the foredeck, varnished, secure solid wood washboards. Offers stowage and shelter. Two GRP formed bench stowage berths, fixed slatted tops

Sails and Rig

Varnished wooden spars: a retractable  bowsprit,  a gaff and boom.  mast deck stepped in tabernacle. Galvanised pin rail inset into the foredeck.
Traditional Gaff head sloop rig, Terylene tan sails. James Lawrence made sails in usable condition. Sail No: 2780

Stainless steel standing rigging, replaced new 2024. Tufnol blocks.

 

   

Engine 

Mariner 5hp outboard, petrol driven. sat on a bracket attaches to the transom.
Last serviced may 2025  new pump and impeller. A remote gear lever so the engine can be controlled from the helm.

APB twin axel unbraked trailer in good order.

Transom hung rudder and tiller.
a cockpit canvas cover.
Fenders and warps.
Small anchor and chain

Wooden tiller
Wind indicator at mast head.
