The Folkboat is popular as both a racing yacht as well as a cruising yacht with a traditional classic look, and it sails like a dream.
Ardroyal is out of the water, sat on a launching trolley, the mast, has been given a fresh coat of varnish ready for 2025, stored in mast rack.
She sails as a British Folk boat and has an RYA YTC Certificate.
Restored in, 2015, an extensive undercover project taking her back to sound bare wood. Applied with Epoxy paint, inside and out. The wooden keel stepped mast was replaced, new rigging and a new suit of sails .
Wooden Boatbuilder Adrian Riva, inspected her in 2023 wary of epoxy, he confirmed that the work had been done well.
