Description
A lovely 22ft John Leather open dayboat Clinker wooden, traditional design.. Her mast and rig have been kept undercover and are in good condition, as are her sails.
She has not been used as a sailboat for at least 10 years, used more as a launch/ picnic day boat. Open boat with a cabin forward, under the foredeck. The foredeck was replaced 15 years ago.
The vessel was re painted, Autumn 2025 and cleaned up for these pictures. Yanmar 1GM10. inboard in engine box.
She is well built, in really good condition, apparently nothing wanting structurally.
She is sat ashore on her old but strong road trailer, old, with manual winch. Twin axel , for towing, anywhere.

Engine sited amidships in engine box , aft is a small box to house the centreboard. Transom stern with pintels to hung the rudder and tiller.
Blocks and pully mechanism for the centreplate.

Underwater hull cleaned/ primer where necessary, ready for new anti fouling.

Forward cabin. under foredeck. Originally would have had space for a pipe cot. Clear Perspex skylight illuminates the cabin.
Large open cockpit with bench seating. A central engine box doubles as a table.

Mast stands in galvanised tabernacle housed on the foredeck. Mast support post sited under the deck to the keel.
