Description

A traditional Maurice Griffiths design a 10m Tidewater cruising yacht built by Whisstocks of Woodbridge in 1976.
Constructed in wood, carvel planked Iroko and powered by a Perkins 4-108 diesel engine (50hp).

The Tidewater is a capable long-keel cruising yacht designed for comfortable coastal and estuary cruising.

The vessel benefits from a bow thruster, electric start, self-draining cockpit and manual/electric windlass.

Generous accommodation for 4-5 persons.
She is in need of some cosmetic TLC, rewiring of the navigation gear.

Single wooden carvel planked displacement hull. Planked in Iroko with copper nails and roves fastened to steam bent oak timbers.  Transom stern
Varnished coach roof sides with a raised dog house aft, it’s roof over hangs the cockpit crates a great sheltered seating in the cockpit.
Cabin sides have opened up with the very dry hot weather. Large forehatch in the foredeck. 4 x small fixed portlights in the forepeak and heads.
She has a long external ballast keel ( 2.6 Tons)
Short stout fixed bowsprit. Paint and varnish finish to all the deck and accommodation. (much of the varnish requires refurbishing.)
Her decks are marine ply sheathed with Epoxy and paint finish.
Topsides white/ red Antifoul, Blue boot top.
Tiller steering to a transom hung rudder.

A large open saloon with headroom of approx. 7ft under the dog house and sliding hatch over. Companionway double doors with navigation gauges attached.
In the forepeak there are 2 x 6ft 6ins berth with a pipe cot over on port side.
Under mast dec , a separate Heads compartment to Starboard with a manual Blakes toilet, Hand basin to port, privacy door through to the saloon.
Full headroom in the saloon of 6ft plus. fluorescent lighting, curtaining at the portlights
In the saloon there are two full length settee berths with shelving above.
Drop leaf dining table off set of centreline, either side of the Companionway is the Galley to port. With electric cool box. double gas hob a single plastic wash bowl.

Cold water only manual pump. To starboard is a chart table with full size chart drawer., navigation station and a potential 5th berth.
