Diamond CK250. A Tyrell & Young Smack Yacht, a Traditionally rigged Gaff Cutter. Her bowsprit pivoted from the bits ( reducing her overall length, when on pontoon berthing.)

A lovely example of type. In commission, afloat and Ready to go. In very good clean and well maintained condition. Re-rigged in 2014.
A 16hp, 2 cylinder Yanmar diesel engine will get Diamond, to where you want her to go.
Accommodation for 2 persons comfortably, 4 persons doable…. Headroom a little restricted (approx 5ft 4ins). Plenty of stowage available.Interior all painted and re-varnished.
Tiller steering from a flush deck with a deep foot well. A comprehensive wardrobe of sails.

Engine Description: Yanmar 2GM20 diesel, 2 cylinders, Eng No:18563  mounted in sound proofed engine box in cabin companionway. Access also to it through the sole of the cockpit.
Single lever Morse control lever. Electric or manual start . Raw water cooled.  Engine last service April 2021.
A Max Prop 14inch diameter folding propeller. Shaft driven


Construction: Lines taken from  1922 Wooden Essex Smack , Mssrs. Tyrell & Young built the mould and constructed her.  Hull no 8, 1991.
Moulded GRP hull, a fixed long keel with encapsulated lead ballast. 2 tonnes with some lead ingot trimming ballast
Marine ply deck, impregnated with resin. painted finish non slip, as well as the coach roof .
The cabin is fitted out with mahogany – coach roof / footwell and bulwalks. Paint and varnished finish.


Headroom in cabin approx 5ft . Sliding hatch over the companionway / galley area .
Chart table to port, to stbd galley area. with wash up basin and a double burner hob with grill. Stowage for utensils, cutlery drawer.
Water in plastic water container ( no water system)
Open cabin with two opposing settee berths 6ft in length. Fold up shelving for both settees.
Frake solid fuel stove on forward bulkhead. Hanging locker amidships, small double berth to port of the forepeak. Heads manual sea toilet in the bow. with chain locker.
Purpose built stowage behind and beneath the settee berths with lee cloths.
Gas bottle stowed on deck with gauge secured to aft bulkhead.


Simpson Lawrence manual lever action windlass for the anchor chain with a chain dog drum winch.
