Description

Sea Holly, a Tela 16 built to order by Saltern’s Boat Builders in 2010. She has been lightly used from a local sailing club.

Her sale includes:

a 2.3hp long shaft outboard engine, 2010,complete rig with gaff mainsail, varnished wooden spars Spars by Collars

A Sovereign galvanised road trailer.

A GRP moulded open boat hull with 3/4’s  decks, fitted out with wooden gunwales, cabin sole, slated seating and thwarts (oiled hardwood).

A lifting keel takes her draft to 4ft set into a moulded GRP casing.   A wooden rudder with tiller is hung from her transom.
The mould for this class of vessel was taken from a 1910, small wooden pilot vessel operating in the Bristol Channel at the time.

Sea Holly is now refitted for the new sailing season 2019: Re-antifouled, Topsides re-polished. Spars re-varnished.

Hardwood trims and cabin sole all re-oiled. Brightwork re touched where necessary. Sails all laundered. Outboard serviced.
Mast stepped, Summer cockpit cover on and she sits on her serviced road trailer.

Saltern’s moulded the hull. Tela 16 is an Open day boat. with slated bench seating. Pale blue gel coat on topsides, cream interior. Bronze deck fittings
GRP  decks, pale cream coloured gel, buoyancy tanks, stowage locker which can be secured with a padlock.

Dry stowage forward under the fore deck, Block and tackle with warp for the centreboard. Fastenings in cockpit for canvas pocket aft at the helm end.
Transom hung rudder from bronze pintels, wooden tiller  ( with canvas cover and extension.)
