Description

A perfectly original in her layout. Nordic Folkboat, built in 1964 nr.Stockholm. Sweden. Clinker Larch planking, all varnished inside and out with Oak frames.

The cabin housing and covering boards are of Honduras Mahogany.

Much work was carried out on her 2018-2020. Updating her electrics, decks and coach roof were clothed, and painted. Solid fuel stove installed,

a double burner stove was added. works carried out on her transom and boom.
To be sold with 9ft wooden dinghy and a long shaft Honda 2.3hp outboard.

A beauty in her simplicity, a dream to sail. Kept in wonderful condition.
In commission, on the water, present owner bought her in Sweden six years ago.
A Fractional Sloop, rare in the fact she has a deck stepped mast which gives more room in the accommodation.

Construction:

Hull: Clinker planked Larch on Oak, deck stepped varnished wooden mast and boom.
Deck and coach roof : sheathed plywood deck paint finish.
Varnished topsides, exterior and interior. Deep open cockpit fitted out in wood and all varnished.
Two stowage drawers under the aft deck.

Works carried out 2018-20 by
Adrian Riva, Maldon, replaced the canvas on deck and some rot in the transom.
Rubbing strakes replaced both sides.
All deteriorated varnish scraped to bare wood.
New Manual Bilge pump fitted
Two chromed bronze port holes were put in the forward end of the cabin house,

Overall she is in lovely condition.

Accommodation:

Step into the open cabin, on the immediate stb’d is a small coal burning stove, cleverly boxed in around its flue with detachable chimney pipe.

Two settee berths with canvas covered berth cushion. Amidships is the galley facility with a double gas hob sat within a purpose built cabinet

which opens out to create a surface to eat / work from.  Above this stowage cupboard for glasses/ plates etc. and utensils.
Fore peak is for stowage of gear/ potentially a third berth.  Forehatch to deck.
Solar panel /1 x large heavy duty battery.
Cabin lighting LED 12v .
Chromed opening portlights on the forward coach roof

Boom was repaired and reefing turning blocks fitted.

2 x Tufnol sheet winches.
Sails:
Main sail. Very good (Reefing points added by Burnham sail maker, Lonton & Gray Main sail and fore sail both with visibility panels.
2 x Jibs. Very good. Small one made by Sanders in Lymington 10 years. Main and fore sail both with visibility panels.
Two spinnakers, both old but useable, came off other folk boats
New main sail cover, 2020,  A Cockpit cover.
Spinnaker pole.

Navigation Equipment:

Steering Compass sat in gimballed bracket in cockpit.
Tiller steering.
New Clipper depth sounder
Sum log gauge visible from helm which gives speed and overall nautical miles covered.
