Description

Ajay
Kim Holman was one of the best known English yacht designers from the 1960’s with many fine yachts of all sizes to his name, including the popular Holman 26. This class has stood the test of time (and the elements) illustrated by examples of the class on both the East and West coasts of the UK. This particular yacht combines the talented designs of Kim Holman and the accomplished boat building skills of the shipwrights at Tucker Brown. The Holman 26 is a tough boat, handles well in rough conditions and with it’s long keel enables good handling both up and down wind. This class is a good size for four adults on board and is still used as a club racer around British coasts. ‘Ajay’ is offered as a ‘project’ and requires some modest rebuild work and substantial refurbishment. Her alloy spars, decent serviceable sails and recent engine overhaul (2012) mean that attention can be focused on the hull, superstructure and interior. The decks have been recently refurbished. ‘Ajay’s’ pricing reflects her current needs and she is offered at a sensible ask of just £2,450.
