Description

Contessa Juliet,1972. A Mark 1, GRP masthead sloop. Presently ashore, under cover for the Winter 23-24. She will require recommissioning in the Spring
The engine is in good working order – it required a new exhaust and head, which was done in 2022. The seacocks were all maintained at the same time and are in good condition.
Her sails are crisp and in good order, in addition there are two sets of old sails, in serviceable condition, suitable for cruising.
The hull is in excellent condition, no blistering and really fair. Cooper coated anti-fouling is which was applied in 2022 and is in excellent condition.
She does have navigation lights, she will have new batteries when sold, as they need replacing.£12,950 including the trailer which is roadworthy.
Also included is an early form of self steering vane gear which fits over
the rudder head.
The standard layout down below with a spirit stove and all new berth cushions, 2022.
The vessel is For Sale as her owner has now purchased a Contessa 32.
She was used competitively and very successfully in her previous ownership.
All her equipment and gear has been modernised over the years.

Construction:

GRP Moulded hull, decks and internal furniture and fittings. A Mast head sloop.
Her Lines are similar to the Folk boats.  External ballast keel. Copper coated antifouling.
Deep open aft, cockpit drains into bilge.  In cockpit moulded seating, with stowage lockers.
The forward hatch has been re-fashioned to a square shape.
Dark blue black topsides, white decks, cockpit and coachroof. Transom hung rudder and tiller .

She has a standard Contessa layout. Mark I version.

Headroom 5ft. 4 x 6ft length berths.
New bunk tops have been made from marine ply, berth cushions recovered, 2021.
Small galley facility with sink, with a manual pump for water extracted from a
