Description

Nelson 42, a serious work vessel. Robustly built GRP by Halmatic of Havant in 1973 to a design by TT Boat Designs, commissioned by Trinity House.

GRP hull painted topsides (Black ) decks ( grey with Treadmaster anti slip panels  and superstructure (white). Hardwood rubbing strakes . Long keel

She worked for the Liverpool Pilotage. Sold out of service in 1985. A design speed of 25knots. Present owner carried out a complete refit on his purchase of her in 1988: Osmosis treatment and re-engined her.  She was chartered out to Bure Marine of Gt Yarmouth, work boat coded  SVC 2A , 2012 compliant with the code of practise. Licensed to carry up to 12 passengers.  Used to send supplies and men out to the Gas Fields. Coding lapsed in 2017. Compliance survey for 2012
Since used as a private pleasure vessel on the Thames.  A very safe, reliable, fast vessel with a practical utilitarian fit out, basic facilities.

Stood out of the water. She has been refitted April/ May 2019.

Works included: Replacing anodes, re-antifouling ,Refurbishing topsides and deck and superstructure where necessary.
