In her day she had a RORC rating, for racing Offshore and was extensively cruised.

This yacht was the forth yacht commissioned by a Lt Col. to be designed by Jack Laurent Giles. She has a very pleasing sheer line with over hangs both fore and aft.
Carvel splined planking, Mahogany topsides and teak for the under water hull.All copper fastened to hardwood frames. Bronze strap floors. She has a centreboard which drops through a lead ballast keel.
Decks and coach roof have been clothed epoxied and painted over marine ply. Deep open aft cockpit built in teak ( varnished). Natural teak cockpit sole.
A purpose built seated helm position further seating with lockers under and stowage for the gas bottles, a lazerette aft of the cockpit. Wheel steering from a pedestal.
Half doors with a sliding hatch over to enter the accommodation. Step in down onto the engine box and into the cabin sole.
Teak raised dog house coach roof which drops down going forward over the saloon. A Fore hatch at it’s front edge.
Interior cabinets / shelving/ stowage and berths are all as originally fitted. Good standing headroom below.
In the accommodation the hull sides have been painted out. fixed bronze framed glazing throughout the main cabin plus 2 x sky lights in the coach roof. Make for a light and airy environment.
12v cabin lighting in accommodation. 2 x gimballed oil lamps in the saloon.
Natural teak planks on the cabin sole. To port of the engine box. a pilot berths runs aft under the port deck .
