Description
Domino was built in 1935 by Saunders Roe on the Isle of Wight to tow their Princess Flying Boats. She was then owned by Harry Spencer, a Yacht Rigger from Cowes, Isle of Wight. She was refitted by his Company in 2001. The “Works” included reengining her and new hydraulic steering fitted. The deck and wheelhouse were fibre glassed and had her keel strengthened. She continued being a work boat / tender for the Company, until 2008. Her keel cooling system was replaced with a heat exchanger.
In her present ownership she is now kept on the upper reached of the Thames. She was bought ashore for a survey last Autumn 2022 and since then he is taking the Winter to work through the surveyor’s recommendations.
