Ploughboy is a well known Prawner ( Nobby) she was campaigned here is Essex and Kent, some years ago, she was then Sold back to her home turf. Then a few years ago she was transported back down to the South East, Kent where she is presently kept.
Built by the renowned shipwrights of these ex working vessels, Morecombe Bay Prawners, at Crossfields of Arnsides 1901. She is an historic vessel and has a complete documented history of her life, from work horse to training ship in WWII.
Last major overhaul was carried out in 2007 at this time a new Beta Marine engine was installed. She was stripped back to bare, new rudder , new stern post and one new plank…More recently she has had new upholstery, new running rigging, all the blocks replaced, new pin rails.. and the addition of a GPS
