Description

Francoise was built in Belgium in 1958 and traded on the European waterways. In 2007/8 she was rebuilt, shortened and converted to a luxury home afloat with new decks, a collapsible wheelhouse, new hatches and windows. A new engine/gearbox/python drive, hydraulic bow thruster, heating system, electrics, water tanks and many more modern upgrades were all included in this massive Conversion project.  The barge was completely shot blasted back to bare steel and painted in 2pack epoxy paints.

Once over here in the UK, her owners have established a residential mooring for her afloat  in the canal basin alongside the quay face.
She offers very comfortable spacious accommodation, with 2000 sqft of internal space and with an average headroom of 2.20m throughout.

The steel flat bottomed hull has been entirely insulated with Rockwell the entire fit out having been professionally undertaken. Machine engineered wooden flooring runs through the accommodation.
She can sleep and cater up to 8 persons in four separate cabins, all with their own en suite facilities.
A large engine room and services are all very well kept and maintained. She could be fully self sufficient if used for extended cruising.

Air draft 4m with the wheelhouse up  this reduces to 2.97m, when its collapsed
Last Drydocking- Survey July 2018 included Re-painting
Current BSS Certification – British Safety Standards,  Suitable for Residential live aboard, Cruising UK / Continent.
