28ft GRP Smack yacht, gaff cutter, rig. Composite construction built in 2000. Bought as a new moulded GRP bare hull. Mould taken from the Tyrell & Young Smack Yacht mould, as a self finish/ fit out, Retirement project. by Mr P Herbert.
She carries a Traditional Gaff Rig with Top mast, inboard auxiliary engine. She has a fixed long ballast keel, an extended coach roof, giving 6ft plus headroom in the accommodation. A well found, comfortable cruising vessel for 4 persons. Presently afloat, undercover.

Construction
Hull moulded by Marshams Wooden Boats Ltd. using International Marine Design serial no: GB- IMDESO2 3L 199. 1998, using the Tyrell & Young Hull mould.
GRP hull, wooden decks, long fixed keel, encapsulated ballast. A straight stem, counter stern. Open aft cockpit well, self draining cockpit. Four large cockpit locker tops seating.
Black hull, cream wooden bulwarks boards. Deck is fibre glassed Marine ply laid with Iroko planking. Cabin sides of Iroko with a sheathed and painted coach roof. Encapsulated ballast 2.5tons. Decks now require attention.
Accommodation
Potentially 6 berths, comfortable for 4 persons. Good headroom under the extended coach roof. Garage stowage for sliding main hatch with wash boards.
In the Forepeak: a single and a double berth, Dinette in the saloon converts to a double. A single pilot berth aft under starboard cockpit. Stowage bins under all the berths.
Galley to port with stowage shelving, drawers and cupboards. Double Burner hob and grill, 2 x sinks, a built in refrigerator & a microwave.
starboard, a dinette with opposing seating and a demountable table, converts to a double berth. Separate Heads compartment, port of the companionway.
