A Salcombe Trader, 27ft Gaff cutter with auxiliary, Beta Marine 29hp, diesel engine. A top quality traditional cruising vessel with character,  a very capable passage maker. She has a ‘Classic/ Traditional’ look with the advantage of a GRP hull and stainless steel fittings. Long keel encapsulated internal ballast. Construction:

A moulded GRP hull by Buccanneer Boats.Entire fit out was carried out by her owner ,professional cabinet maker: Jonathan March. She was launched in 2010.
The fit out is to a very high standard using the best materials and components available at the time.
Internal epoxy encapsulated lead ballast, 3 tons.

Timbers used in the build:
Teak for Sampson posts, cockpit seats, rubbing strake and the galley work-top. Iroko for a bright work, bulwarks, coach roof and cockpit coamings, boom crutch, interior doors & framing
Bronze port lights and winches.
Transom hung rudder with tiller
Custom made stainless steel fittings.

Beam shelf is sikaflex bonded and bolted through the GRP hull.  Marine ply decks were exopy sheathed over and down over the topside’s edge. The overlap was then covered with a teak rubbing strake this too was bonded and bolted through. Finished with 2 pack polyurethane non slip paint.
The coach roof has 25mm of insulation sandwiched between the top and the headlinging inside.

VAT receipts and manuals for all the equipment are kept.
