Description

A very pretty little Classic Gaffer with a distinctive rounded stern.
Professionally restored. Her lines are based on that of a Morcambe Bay Prawner and a Lancashire Nobby. Original bronze fittings with the addition of some new the bronze main horse and reefing drums.
10 Day racers boats were commissioned by the Mersey Royal Yacht Club in 1911. It was decided to use the known Jewel Class lines, 1905 and add a 5ft bowsprit. 6 boats were built in 1912 with a further 4 in 1914.
Severn has been professionally restored in present ownership. She carries a gaff rig, tan sails and has a small 8hp auxiliary inboard engine. Shallow long fixed keel.
She offers very basic accommodation, sitting headroom only in the cabin , 2 x full length berths, refitted with new cushions.
