Description

Colas, an Elizabethan 23 purchased from new, in a “Sail Away” condition ( with mast, sails and rigging fitted). The owner himself fitted out the internal accommodation.

Auxiliary Outboard engine was bought separately by the owner, it sits in a  GRP moulded well within the lazerette. its fuel feed from a portable tank. Self draining open aft cockpit.
The vessel requires re-antifouling, decks repainting and there is a can of bilge paint, for use inside.  She has a very shallow draft  long keel of just 2ft 6ins with a lifting keel.
She is well presented, and makes for a very useful little cruiser in the shallow river estuaries, she has been used for coastal cruising of the East Coast, the Thames, and to France .

Engine Description: 6hp Mercury 6 outboard sits in a designated well of  GRP moulded sited within the lazerette.

Twist handle control and gear lever forward and reverse. Outboard leg and propeller protrudes through stern, behind the rudder blade. Pull cord start.
New Anode fitted, engine checked over, June 2022.
3 bladed high thrust propeller, cooled via impeller and pump.

Outboard users manual and toolkit. Security lock.

Moulded GRP mono Dark blue hull with a long shallow iron keel with a steel lifting plate, operating through a slot in the keel, its attached to

a rope lanyard and winch, pivoted from  a Galvanised stainless bolt, replaced 2013 (a spare is carried onboard).

Low profile model decks moulded epoxy, stiffened with Balsa. Painted deck. white grp, grey paint.

An open cabin with companionway steps in. Headroom of 1.37m,  4x  6ft berth lengths. 2 x forward and 2 aft with berth cushions, stowage underneath
Amidships a galley facility, 2 burner gas stove and a drawer under to port and galley storage. opposite washing bowl inset with a manual cold water only pump.
Headlining replaced 2013. Purpose built shelving and stowage cuddies.
Storage under the berths.
Plastimo flexible water tank, to be reinstalled.
