Description
A Traditional styled open day boat, inspired by the Edwardian Pilot cutters. Albert and Florence was built as a “one off” stripped plank wooden construction in 1985.
Her Sale to include, A 2019 Indespension Road Trailer and a 2019 5HP Mercury four stroke outboard engine, Long Shaft .
She underwent an extensive refit 2016-18. All the rigging was renewed. Vessel to be bought home for dry storage over the Winter.
Throughout the Summer she has sat on a swinging mooring on the River Alde nr Southwold, Suffolk.

Construction:
Vessel reputed to have been built by a retired shipwright from James & Stones Shipyard, Brightlingsea, Essex. Her design inspired
by the lines of the Colne Revenue Pilot Cutters. A steady, open day boat with a good turn of speed for keeping up with the East Coast Fishing Smacks.
She has a centreboard. All up weight 1.25tons, this includes the 600lbs of lead ingot trimming ballast sat in purpose-built tray.
An open hull, 1 inch mahogany strip planked construction. epoxy resin inside and out, with a painted finish. Sheathed up to the waterline.
Quarter decks also sheathed and painted. All was refitted and fared during the Spring of 2016.
Varnished wooden thwarts and bench seating. Iron centre plate, this was shot blasted in 2016.
Blocks and tackle plus a snubbing winch makes the control of the board very easy.
New Oak Samson post, 2016. The 2-part rudder has had stainless steel strengthening bands added. The mast has also had a recent repair to its base.
