Description

Phylla- 3t Blackwater sloop. Fractional Bermudan rig.
Built and designed by Dan Webb & Feesey, Maldon, Essex. 1949. She is one of just three larger versions of the Blackwater sloops built.
She had a large amount of “works” carried out in her present ownership – since 2013.

Shipwrights were employed to make a replacement rudder with new stainless steel fittings. A new stern tube was installed
The cracked canvas deck was removed from the original pine decks. All deck fittings, toe rails had to be removed.

It was then over laid with marine ply, which was then epoxy sheathed and painted. Rubbing bands removed stripped and re varnished.

Fore hatch combings were replaced in Sapele.
All electrics have been tidied and updated, where necessary.
Her painted topsides have been taken from a dark bottle green / black, to a light green and now she has cream painted topsides.
A fully fitted overall cover was commissioned.
The deep open aft cockpit has been re furbished with all the brightwork re brightened.
She resides on a mudberth under cover for the Winter.
