Description

A Hamble River One Design, 18ft, gaff rigged sloop, built 1913 by Luke & Co at Swanwick on the River Hamble. She is a true classic and an important piece of maritime history, possibly one of just six built pre WWI.
She is built of Oregon pine on elm frames with a ply deck and cast iron keel. including a new mahogany transom, new keelson and several new planks.
This lovely boat needs which needs to go to someone who appreciates what she is and is prepared to commit their time and expertise in to her. A head turning Classic, an absolute pleasure to own and sail.

Additional Description

Construction: Carvel planked of Oregon pine on elm frames with painted ply decks and cast iron keel.
A new mahogany transom, a new keelson and several new planks were works carried out in her previous ownership. 2021 now painted out, re-caulked, a replacement plank and a paint job, all spars and internal fittings re varnished.
In the water to take up before her final topcoat and to have her name to be scribed on the transom.

Furling gear on the foresail. slab reefing in the mainsail.
Tufnel blocks and tackle . Rigging lines to be replaced with new.
