Description
Cornelis, 1959, a Classic styled steel motor yacht built and used as a Commercial mussel cutter. The vessel was professionally converted 2017, completed.
A cruising home/ pleasure craft, that can easily be used for commercial survey or charter work.
She has the capabilities to go practically anywhere and can be run self sufficiently, with black tanks too.
More recent modifications and re builds to her domestic arrangements were completed, 2018.
She has spent the last couple of seasons in Holland, cruising inland water ways. Freezer / solid fuel stove in the day cabin, a washing machine , electrical toilets.
Returned to Essex and is presently in commission, repainted re-anti-fouled, new anodes. “Ready to move on an go”.
Last out of water insurance survey, June 2020 report available, surveyor’s recommendations were attended too.
This vessel is in remarkable condition having been stripped back to a bare hull in a shipyard in Holland and completely reworked inside and out, she has had over £300,000 spent on her over the last 10 years She is now presented as fine “small ship” . As the Broker we have been involved with her throughout the extensive renovations and conversion, much of the work was carried out at Downs Road Boatyard, Maldon.
All invoices for these works are available to prove VAT has been paid. There is a large folder of papers which cover the extensive works carried out in Holland pre 2017.

Construction:
Steel displacement hull of riveted steel frames to welded hull plating. 6,7 and 8mm plating. Epoxy paint system on topsides and underwater hull, from bare metal 2017. Repainted, Re-anti fouled 2020.
Raked stem and a flared rounded stern. Painted chequer plate steel decks. All in good, clean, tidy condition.
Extended wheel house added during 2017-18 refit. Toughened glass windows all round the day cabin/ pilothouse. Aluminium water tight 2 part doors access to both side decks.
High steel bulwarks surround the decks with hand rails up to 1m, with large scuppers. Generous deck width all around the pilot house. Access hatches to the foc’sle and the lazerette.
Accommodation cabins below deck and the day cabin, all fitted out during 2017-18.
