Description

17ft GRP motor launch, built for Trinity House as a workboat /launch to ferry pilots and merchant seamen, now used as a private vessel.
A very robust moulded GRP hull with an inboard diesel engine.

She has spent the summer afloat and is now ashore for the Winter. Requires some tidying/ re-antifouling.

Engine Description: Twin cylinder, Saab diesel, engine stood within engine box, sited amidships.
Electric and manual start.  1 x secured heavy duty battery. Shaft driven to a single triple bladed propeller.

Construction:

A very robust single moulded GRP formed open motor launch. Bare wooden sole boards. 3 x strong Samson /towing posts.
Slatted seating, painted finish . Purpose built well in the foredeck for the stowage of her anchor and chain and bow roller fitting over the stem.
Long straight keel, pair of bilge stringer. Iron stem band protecting the keel.  2 x forward buoyancy tanks.
Transom hung rudder with tiller steering. Solid wooden bulwarks a painted finish.
Non slip tape adhered to the capping/ decks. White rubber fender around the rubbing strake.
Fixings attached to the hull for the fitted cover to be fastened.
